Summary: strong fan, nice price 2008-05-09
Comment: I purchased this fan to replace a 25 year old Broan after finding my old fan was starting to rust and was not properly vented to the outside wall. The new fan isn't the quietest on the market but for the 110 CFM rating, the price was right! The new fan was easy to install (if you have attic access) and has an easy to remove grill for cleaning. One minor complaint I have is Broan doesn't supply any wire nuts with their fans....

Summary: Broan's tricky games 2007-05-13
Comment: First, let me say the Broan #676 is a good product. My problem arose because I was replacing an existing Broan #676 that had provided many years of good service. Broan does not make a replacement fan assembly for the #676, just the entire kit (fan assembly and housing). I thought that if I bought the same model, then I could take the fan assembly loose, pop it into the existing housing, and we'd be happy. However, when I received the item, I found that all #676's are not alike; in fact, the new fan and housing were completely different than my old version. Thus, I got the joy of climbing into the attic, removing the old housing, and installing the new one. That's about three hours of work instead of three minutes. Poo on Broan's configuration control, even if they do make a quality product.
