The fan's default settings include a 40 percent humidity threshold. The fan will start when the humidity level reaches 40 percent. It will remain on as long as the humidity remains above the threshold, and it will turn off automatically after the humidity level comes back down to less than 40 percent.
Quiet, Energy Star-Certified Fan for Cost-Effective Ventilation
Ideal for bathroom spaces, the ceiling-mount Breez exhaust fan delivers an air flow rate of 80 cfm for improved indoor air quality--which offers the potential of improved comfort and health for your family in the home. In addition, it operates at a noise level of less than 0.3 sones, running nearly silent.
This Breez's smart design is Energy Star-certified, so you can be assured it's a good choice for keeping your utility bills manageable and running a green household. Its 7.1-watt power-consumption rating translates to an impressive efficiency rating of approximately 11.75 CFM per watt at 0.1-inch of static pressure.
DC Motor Technology Ensures Consistent Performance
One innovation that allows the Breez to be so efficient is a switching power supply that converts your home's standard AC 110~220-volt power source to DC power, which allows the fan to utilize an efficient DC motor.
This DC brushless motor is engineered to run continuously, and offers a life expectancy of 70,000 hours--about eight years of nonstop ventilation. The Breez's DC motor includes a built-in soft-start function to increase the lifespan of its bearings, and it's designed to automatically power off the fan if the impeller ever locks abnormally. In addition, the motor and blower assembly is equipped with a thermal cutoff fuse for added safety.
Durable, Easy-to-Install Body with a Clean Look
The Breez's body features galvanized steel construction for durability. It also has a detachable 4-inch duct adapter and a built-in back-draft damper.
Also, the face of the fan unit is a sleek, unobtrusive grille that blends in seamlessly with any decor--whether installing the exhaust fan to update an existing bath, or placing it in a newly constructed home. And the grille is constructed with sturdy ABS material. It attaches securely and directly to the housing with torsion springs, and the entire unit is built for easy installation.
UL and HVI Certified for Safety and Reliability
Built for use with ducts that measure at least 4 inches in diameter, the Breez has been evaluated by the Underwriter Laboratories and conforms to both UL and cUL safety standards. It is also UL and cUL listed for use in a tub or shower enclosure when used with GFCI branch-circuit wiring. And it's HVI (Home Ventilation Institute) certified.
The Delta Electronics VFB25ACH Breez 80 CFM Humidity Sensor Exhaust Fan is backed by a limited three-year warranty.

By Robin (Fremont, CA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Delta Electronics VFB25ACH Breez 80 CFM Humidity Sensor Exhaust Fan, Less Than 0.3 Sone (Tools & Home Improvement) My two Teenager boys always take shower late while my wife already in sleep. She complained a lot she was waked up by noise of our old ventilation fan in bath room. Our old ventilation fans were loud as jet take off. I replaced both old fans with Delta Breeze fans 5 months ago. Since then, my wife doesn't even know boys go to shower. We are all happy about this new fan. One of my friends came to my house last week, he is going to get two to replace his old ones. I did not buy the humidity sensor model since it is an energy star products and consume much less power,(according to Delta website). And it is so quiet, so it won't bother me at all even it runs at full speed. [...] My engineer friend told me DC motor is much more efficient than AC motor, that's why it consume less power. I love this fan. Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Delta Electronics VFB25ACH Breez 80 CFM Humidity Sensor Exhaust Fan, Less Than 0.3 Sone (Tools & Home Improvement) I have installed exhaust fans before, but this is the quitetest I have come across. Laying up in the attic with my head within 2 feet from the fan, I asked the wife to turn it on. I didn't think it was on it was sooo quiet. So that night I take a shower to get the attic dust off and the fan did a great job of exhausting the steam and it could hardly be heard. The issue I came accross when installing was the height of the unit is higher than expected and I had to move it about a foot from the location of the original fan. Also the humitity feature doesn't seem to work on the unit. After turning th eswitch on, the blue light comes on and so does the fan without any humidity. flip the switch again and the red light comes on and the fan kicks up a notch. The directions don't mention a red and blue light either so I'm left scratching my head... Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Delta Electronics VFB25ACH Breez 80 CFM Humidity Sensor Exhaust Fan, Less Than 0.3 Sone (Tools & Home Improvement) This is such a nice product at this price. 25 or 30 minutes and it was installed replacing a previous ventilation fan. No steam has appeared on the mirrors when the fan is on. The fan is quiet enough that one must listen for it.
My one complaint; on automatic, the fan is supposed to begin exhausting when 40% humidity exists in the bathroom. Pretty low setting in the winter when many humidifiers are set for 40/45%. My humidostat read 30% and the fan was still on....all night and never shuts off automatically. |
