Upon opening the box this fan came in (sent via USPS), I discoverd that the motor and fan (they are one unit) had completely broken off from the frame inside the housing. I immediately returned fan to Amazon and asked for another to be sent. Amazon was very quick in sending another fan. However, when I recieved a second fan, it too had the motor and fan unit completely broken off of housing inside the unit. The fan was shipped inside its own box which was packed inside another brown box. There was nothing wrong with how fan was packaged. In other words, fan should have survived shipment. After recieving two of these fans and the condition they were in, and then observing the material they are made of (very cheap plastic) I've come to the conclusion that the fan is very cheaply made. I would NOT recommend this fan to anyone.

I didn't look at the reviews until after I ordered this product. But when I did I saw that everyone wrote that the plastic that attaches the fan to the housing is not strong enough. Guess what? When the fan arrived it was rattling around in the box -- the fan was completely broken from its housing. How can they make something this junky? You'd think they'd have taken it off the market by now. Believe the reviews and don't buy this! You'll just have to return the box full of broken pieces!

I would not recommend this fan. I have had problems with the switch, which also holds the shutter open, from the first time i tried to use it after it was installed. The switch is very flimsy, don't waste your money.
