I purchased this fan/light combination for a bathroom remodel. It is fairly quiet, not silent but definitely not annoying. My contractor, however, broke the light bulb that it came with, and I spent 2 months looking for a replacement. Its a special bulb, requiring a 4 pin connection. The only 4-pin bulbs that are commonly available are shaped wrong for this fixture. The only source I could find was to order the replacement from Nu Tone. At $20 per bulb, that hurts! It is CFL, so should last, but ...

Bottom line: calculate in bulb replacement costs. Its a quality product (my electrician was very impressed with it), the ONLY problem is bulb replacement.
