I learned a lot replacing a bathroom fan in our 25 square foot half bathroom. First, the old fan was was a complete piece of junk. The 12 year old Broan was not only filthy and rusted, but the engineer probably spent a half an hour total on design. Literally a cheap plastic blade stuck to a small motor thrown in a metal box. I'd expect better out of a high school shop class. In contrast, the Panasonic looks like it was designed by someone that knew what they were doing. High quality curved paths for airflow. The fan mechanism itself cosmetically resembles the inside of a washing machine with no agitator. It disassembles easily. I know this because some joker taped the screw packet deep inside the fan. For the record, I bought another of these fans for the other bathroom and it had no such entertainment.

Not knowing what I was doing, it took forever to install. Unlike the do it yourself remodel video from Lowes, you have to install this fan from the attic side due to a one...Read more
