Panasonic FV-11VQL4 WhisperLite 110 CFM Ceiling Mounted Fan/Light Combination

I bought this fan after reading the nice reviews about how quiet it is. I am an experienced remodeler, and have to say that the installation procedures for this fan are un-necessarily complex due to the poor design of the unit. Be advised that this fan is not designed to be installed in an existing ceiling. All installation procedures assume you have no ceiling (drywall, plaster, etc.) installed, and have full access from top and bottom to your rafters in order to install the unit. A few minor changes could have made this fan much easier to install in existing ceilings. Also, though advertised as a ceiling mount fan, the General Safety Information in the documentation warns you not to install the fan where air temperatures may exceed 40C/104F degrees! Its been my experience that most all attic temperatures exceed 104 degrees in the summer, at least in the USA.

This is a great product. I love the fact that the main lights are fluorescent. The fan is super quiet...in fact, we catch ourselves leaving it on and forgetting it is because you don't hear it. It was a little of a pain to install only because of my 87 year-old house and it was not already wired for the 3-item switch. In my next house this will also be the fan I choose for the bath.

All three bathroom fans are now the panasonic quiet fans, which are great. Really enjoy the night light on the fan in the main bathroom and the electronic timer is great never have to worry about it being left on for hours.
