This review is from: Panasonic FV-40VQ3 WhisperCeiling 380 CFM Ceiling Mounted Fan (Electronics)
Bought to ventilate a 17x14x9'(high) porch of cigar smoke.
We love the fact that its very quiet as we mounted the fan itself under the porch marble floor and placed the intake near a corner of the ceiling so its barely audible. We also attached a Lutron fan switch to control the speed and we can barely hear it even on high. But its undersized to clear out the room from even 1 cigar. I would say the CFM needs to be about 25%-50% greater. But be aware, if your expelling that much air in the winter, that means it needs to be relaced by an equal amount of warm air...if the replacement air is coming from the outside, you either need to install an air intake with a heating element (or you'll be freezing in about 20 minutes) or install an intake of warm air from the home
