Product Review

This WhisperGreen(TM) model features built-in intelligence called SmartFlow(TM) Optimum CFM Technology. This unique "electronic-brain" lets the fan do what was once thought to be impossible, perform at a constant CFM regardless of elbows and other factors that might hinder performance. Basically, when a WhisperGreen(TM) fan faces static pressure, its speed is automatically increased to ensure that the desired CFM is actually achieved. This allows the fan to perform as rated and makes for easier installation because the installer no longer has to worry as much about compromising the fan's performance.

As it is, I am using the fan for whole house ventilation, so I found a hot wire in the attic and run the fan with it. I must use a breaker to shut it off, but it only gets turned off for cleaning, so that works for me.

The installation was very straight forward. I just enlarged the whole in the sheet rock to fit, and made sure it was sealed from the attic well. My exhaust pipe wasn't insulated, which is very bad-can cause condensation in a cold attic. I used some reflectix (basically foil backed bubble wrap), so that...Read more
